Fourteen Pacific countries confirm particiption in next year’s Arts Festival

Fourteen of the 27 member countries of the Pacific Community have confirmed their participation in the Pacific Artsj Festival scheduled to begin in Pago Pago on July 20th, next year.
Tonga has indicated it is not sure whether it will send a delegation because the coronation of King George Tupou V is scheduled during the first week of August, 2008.
Ms. Lydia Miller, the Executive Director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts Board and Australia Council for the Arts and an assistant Susan Parker will be in the territory next week to check out veneus and preparations for the festival.
Earlier this year officials from New Zealand inspected facilities for the event. |
